Jackson Township has received a $2,500 grant from Carroll County REMC Operation Round-up. The money will be used to purchase new playground equipment for the park.

Camden Lions Club will host its first annual Horse Pull on Saturday at Camden-Jackson Twp. Park, starting at 6 p.m.

American Legion will meet Monday evening in the Legion Home.

July 26 is also the deadline to enter Camden's Little Rising Star Baby Contest for ages newborn to 24 months. Canisters for both contests will be placed in the Camden Grocery on Monday and will remain there through Aug. 23. Winners will be announced at the annual queen contest to be held at 4 p.m. Aug. 23 in the Community Building.
