Carroll County Historical Museum

The Carroll County Historical Museum has new display cabinets. They were bought with grants from the Carroll County Community Foundation and Deer Creek Township.

The Historical Society will be applying for grants for land and a new building and is also starting a building fund.

Many donations have been made recently to the museum including vintage hats, a model sawmill, and a World War II ration book.

The museum could use volunteers to do scanning, filing, and other tasks. A day, an afternoon, or even and hour or two of time would be appreciated.

Many people come to the museum or call for information in regard to genealogy. The Historical Society has decided that it's time for the museum to start charging for the time it takes to look up things, make copies, etc. Rates are available at the museum.

Old Settlers will be Aug. 6- 9, and an Appraisal Fair is scheduled for Sept. 14, with Sept. 21 as a rain date.
