Delphi CWF
The CWF of the Delphi Christian Church met July 7 with Winnie Beard as hostess.
Ten members answered roll call by relating a Fourth of July memory.
Pat Curts gave a mission report from the Pembertons, who are working in Hippo Valley in Africa. This is one of the missions the church supports.
Several members gave committee reports on the 100th anniversary celebration that the church is having on Oct. 19.
Jackie Paris gave the lesson on Dorcas, who recognized her talents and used them for the Lord.
The next meeting will be August 4, with Jackie Paris as hostess.
Double Dozen
Eleven members of Double Dozen Extension Homemakers had a cook-out at the home of Lona Yeakley preceding the July 1 meeting.
Devotions were given by the hostess.
Wilma Robeson led the group in singing the Song of the Month and in recognizing the birthday of Susie Dyke and the anniversary of Margie Albaugh.
The annual "Day Out" will be Aug. 5 with a trip to The Apple Dumpling Inn.
Betty Bell won the prize.
The next regular meeting will be Sept. 2, with Helen Forgey as hostess.
