Arthur Vincent Robinson, 85, of Delphi, died at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at his home.

Born Oct. 8, 1922, in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of Raymond and Anna Kalizak Robinson. He attended Delphi schools.

He married Maryann Roskuski on July 28, 1945, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi.

Mr. Robinson was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1942 to 1945.

He retired from the shipping department at Alcoa on Aug. 1, 1983, after 41 years of service.

Surviving with his wife are one son, David Robinson (wife: Penny) of Delphi; two daughters, Diane Benner (husband: Patrick) of Constantine, Mich., and Amy Pearson (husband: Tony) of Lapel; seven grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi, with Father Peter Vanderkolk officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Delphi, with military rites by the Delphi American Legion and VFW.
