Thomas C. Staley
A memorial service for Thomas C. Staley, 55, of Lafayette, will be held Aug. 3 at 2 p.m. at Bodine Funeral Home, Mulberry. Pastor Chuck Compton will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He died at 4:09 p.m. Tues., July 8, 2008, at his residence.
Born Dec. 11, 1952, in Lafayette, he was the son of Dorothy Myers Staley of Mulberry and the late William C. Staley. He graduated from Clinton Prairie High School in 1971 and attended Purdue University.
He married Linda Walker in 1978 and they divorced in 1994. He later married Sue White and they also divorced.
Mr. Staley was retired from Fairfield Manufacturing Co., Lafayette, after 28 years.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1974.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion.
Surviving with his mother are three daughters, Amy Duffer (husband: Anthony) of Cutler, Adrienne Creasy (husband: Beau) of Elwood, and Brittany Baldridge (husband: Zachary) of Tipton; a stepson, Aaron Jackson (wife: Amy) of Burlington; and three sisters, Cindy Lundquist (husband: Jon) of Cottage Grove, Ore., Beth Conklin of Frankfort, and Tammy Oberle of Mulberry; and 11 grandchildren.
A sister, Sharon Swan, preceded him in death.
