Awards given for 'best bugs'

Photo provided As part of the Camden Library's summer reading program, "Catch the Reading Bug," children created their own bugs, using miscellaneous items in a bag.

Thirty-four children have been participating in summer reading and in the bug contest.

Judges for the contest were Diane Wertz, library board president, and Pat Casserly, board secretary. All participants received an award, with special awards going to the following:

Most Creative - Paige Jones.

Best Use of Materials - Katie Kleckner.

Creepiest Bug - Blaine Snoeberger.

Biggest Pest - Drew Hollingsworth.

Most Unusual - Scott Ashby.

Most Realistic - Max Snoeberger.

Cutest Bug - Emily Snoeberger.

Librarian's Award - Ella Foreman.

Miss Deb's Award - Caitlyn Snavely.

The summer reading special programs have been organized by Deb Foreman.

Last Wednesday's program was all about spiders. Today will be the last Wednesday summer program day. Tonight the children and parent chaperones will go to the Peru Circus.

On Saturday, July 19, the ending summer program will be held at the library from 9 to 11 a.m. Children will watch the Bee Movie. Snacks will be provided during the movie, and completion awards and prizes will be handed out following the movie.
