Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Spesard, 5476 E. 600 S., Cutler, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on July 20. The open house, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Pat's Country Barn near Flora, will be hosted by their five children and their families.

Spesard and the former Carol Hawn were married July 23, 1958, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Delphi.

He is retired from farming and she is retired from Milner Community Health Care in Rossville where she was the dietary supervisor.

Their children are: Lloyd Spesard (wife: Jill) of Cutler, Lonnie Spesard (wife: Jennifer) of Flora, Laura Yoder (husband: Eric) of Cutler, Lisa McGill (husband: Terry) of Rossville, and Lance Spesard (wife: Debra) of Cutler. They also have 20 grandchildren.

He enjoys fishing, while she enjoys reading and doing cross-stitch. They both enjoy attending their grandchildren's many sporting events.
