Inmates help with community project
2008-07-09 / Community
After months of attending to the many details necessary to begin an in-county work release program out of the county jail, Carroll County Sheriff Tony Burns got all of his "T"s crossed and his "I"s dotted in time to help Flora get ready for the 4th of July event at the community park. Burns received permission from the commissioners to implement the work release program months ago but progress was hampered by the lack of jailers available to supervise the low-risk jail inmates. The workers shown moving picnic tables from the Merchant's Building also helped the town ready the park for the 4-H Fair.
