Colts Cheerleaders to promote Books for Youth
Bring a book to the Carroll County Fair on July 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. and meet an Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader who is promoting the Books for Youth program.
Books for Youth, sponsored by the Indianapolis Colts, is a program to get books out to all foster care children. Through the program, foster care children receive a backpack full of 25 age appropriate books to promote reading.
Ten thousand books are needed for the 350 children in foster care in Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Tippecanoe, Warren and White counties.
In Carroll County, book drop off boxes will be set up at the Head Start booth at the 4-H Fair and at the Carroll County YMCA in Flora.
Monetary donations for the program may be made at any Lafayette Bank & Trust location.
