Local hillclimbing team places at Goshen's Iron Horseman

Carroll County residents Vance and Cyndi Lashley, started TMD Hillclimbing Team in May 2007. With a team of five riders, they have been racing in northern Indiana at the Goshen Iron Horseman, a sanctioned AMA District 15 race. The team has won first place finishes in two different competitions there.
Most recently rider #507, Kyle (aka Munch) Lashley brought home two first place finishes in both the 250cc class and the 400 stock class. He has been riding and competing since 2007 and is a junior at Delphi Community High School.
Rider #886, Chris Brown, placed first in the Open Stock class and third in the 450cc class. Vance (aka Cheezy) Lashley, rider #505, came home with third and fourth place finishes in the 450cc and Open Stock classes.
Zach (aka Tiny) Brown, rider #798, finished fourth and fifth in the 250cc and 400 Stock classes. He is a senior at DCHS. Randy (aka Dash) McIlrath, rider #314, is a first year rider. He placed fifth in the 400 Stock and sixth in the 125cc classes. He is a DCHS junior.
The team will head to southern Indiana on July 26 and 27 for the State Championship race. Then, they will be off to Nationals on Aug. 8-10 in Waterford, Ohio, at Pioneer Motorcycle Club.
