Flora-Monroe Twp. The library will be closed Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

It's July, it's hot, and it's sticky outside. Cool off at our big Water Show on Tuesday July 8, at 10:30 a.m. In the show, water will disappear, reappear and magically move from one place to another - and we all get wet! Attendees should wear a swimsuit to the show and bring a towel.

There will be a Dry Zone for those kids and adults who choose not to get wet. Younger children sit to the side so they can be hand sprinkled and still participate in the fun. The Water Show will be in the library's parking lot.

There will be no storytime that day due to the program.

The following Tuesday, July 15, we will end the summer reading storytimes with our favorite storyteller, Doyne Carson. Doyne will have stories appropriate for preschool and school aged children.

Programming for our "Catch the Reading Bug!" summer reading program is provided by a donation from the Beta Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi.

There is a cool display at the main desk to go with the summer reading theme - an ant farm! Those ants have been very busy building their tunnels and hills. Make sure you let your little ones see how industrious our library reading bugs have been!
