Burlington
The Fourth of July celebration will be held at Burlington Community Park on Friday. Activities will begin at 5 p.m. with a hog roast being served until dusk, live entertainment until 9 p.m., and miniature golf set up to play until dark. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
Activities at the Burlington Community Center include: Wednesday: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Bible Study; 1 p.m., canasta. Monday thru Friday - 1 p.m., rummikub and euchre. All seniors are welcome. Lunch is served at 12 noon.
Any Burlington area resident needing transportation for doctor appointments, to get groceries, medicine, etc., should call the Carroll County Council on Aging at 765-564-8194 to schedule transportation.
Community Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Community Park Building.
Park Board will meet at 7 p.m. July 2 in the Community Park Building.
Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. July 8 in the town hall.
Kiwanis Club will meet for breakfast and meeting at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the fire station.
Pastor Tim Pohlman and family have moved to Kansas.
United Methodist Bible Study will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Faith Church of Christ will have volleyball for junior and senior high students and adults from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
An all-church carry-in dinner will be held Sunday at noon at Faith Church of Christ. At 1 p.m., a baby shower will honor Nate and Shannon Perkins. Hostesses will be Jeanie Kuhns, Janet Lovelace and Brenda Underwood.
WMS of the First Brethren Church will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Gregorys.
Oakland Christian Church picnic will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Adams Mill near Cutler.
