Workday at Deer Creek Park
2008-07-02 / Community
Friends of Carroll County Parks held a workday recently at Deer Creek Park. The old tennis court fence and some playground equipment were in disrepair and were removed. Trees were trimmed and flowers planted. Pictured, l-r, are Al Auffart, Bob Burton, and Mary Ann Burton. The Friends organization is a non-profit group of volunteers, supporting the county parks. Signage is one critical project that the Friends group is currently addressing. The main sign at the entrance of Deer Creek Park on State Road 218 is peeling and needs attention. Plans also call for an additional sign at the State Road 29 intersection, with directions to the park. Photo provided
