"Catch the Reading Bug" summer reading club is moving along with Miss Deb, who is teaching the children about many bugs and insects through stories and songs. Last week's program was called "Creepers" and was on caterpillars. This week's program will be "Top and Bottom" on Butterflies. Storytime is held Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.
The Carroll County on the Same Page selection, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver is catching on as a great summertime read. Copies are available at the library. A book discussion will be held at the library at 9:30 a.m. July 30.
Delphi Public Library
The library will be closed July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Business hours resume July 5 at 10 a.m. There will be no summer reading children's programs during the week of June 30 through July 4.
Watch fun appear before your very eyes as magician Rusty Ammerman performs "Dimension of Illusion" June 27 at 1 p.m. Children of all ages and caregivers are invited to attend the free program but must pick up a ticket in the Children's Room prior to the event.
Teens are invited to the library to hang out with friends and compete in a "Dance, Dance Revolution" dance off June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Quick reflexes and concentration keep you in the fun competition which focuses on fancy footwork.
An evening of Wine Tasting is filling quickly so be sure to call the library for a reservation. Jeannette Merritt from the Indiana Wine Council will present the program on July 8 at 7 p.m. Anyone 21 years of age or older should call the library to reserve a seat.

It's time for America's birthday party! Come celebrate the Fourth of July with your preschooler at the library. Deb Foreman of Flora's United Methodist Church Playschool will have stories, a fun craft and of course - a parade! Preschool Patriotic Fun with Miss Deb will be next Tuesday, July 1, at 10 a.m.
Tomorrow (Thursday) is your opportunity to learn about the environmental "green" movement sweeping the country. Patty Leimer will introduce an easy way of living that will keep you and your family healthier. Learn how to get the toxic chemicals out of your home and how to improve your health naturally. "Green: Pure and Simple," is tomorrow evening, June 26, at 7 p.m.

Carroll County on the Same Page will be at the Carroll County Farmers Market today. Stop by our booth and find out more about the county's selection, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. Copies of the book are available at all three county public libraries.
This one book project is a joint effort of the Camden- Jackson Township Public Library, the Delphi Public Library, and the Flora-Monroe Township Public Library, encouraging Carroll County residents to read the same book while building a better community through reading and sharing of ideas.
