A ground blessing for the 2009 Habitat for Humanity house will be June 29 at 2 p.m. For more information call area pastors.

The quilters of Faith Lutheran Church will meet at the church on Monday at 9 a.m. Bring a sack lunch.

Vacation Bible School will be held at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church with Faith. It will be for one day. If interested in helping, contact the church. It will be held on July 26.

There will be a carry-in dinner following worship at Faith on Sunday for Pastor Tom McShannock and Pastor Sandy Hutchens as this will be their last Sunday to preach. Everyone is encouraged to bring a well-filled basket to give them a good send off. Pastor Sandy and Pastor Tom have been a friend of many of the members of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church and Pastor Sandy has worked at Betty"s Stop and Shop. Everyone in the community is invited. The dinner will start around 11:45 a.m.

Deer Creek Presbyterian Church is getting ready to make a new picture directory. Appointments have been set up and picture taking will be June 30.

"Sundaes on Thursday" will be held on June 26 at 7:30 p.m. with an informal worship service to follow in the fellowship hall. All are encouraged to attend.
