Lonny Doyle Jervis, 62, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2008, in LeHigh Acres, Fla., from natural causes. He had been ill for several years.

He was born Aug. 18, 1945, in Lafayette, the son of Doyle E. and Juanita Jervis of Cutler, Indiana, who predeceased him.

He graduated from Carroll High School and attended Vincennes University and Indiana University.

Mr. Jervis worked for several years at Eli Lilly before relocating to Florida where he was employed in LeHigh Acres Development as a realtor and later at Sony's in electronics.

He was an avid golfer, competitive bowler, and loved to navigate/e-mail on his computer.

Mr. Jervis was also known for his music ability, having been both a trumpet player and an accomplished pianist.

Surviving are two children, Mechelle Lynn Jervis and Andrew D. Jervis; a sister, Madonna Jervis Wise (husband: Ernest) and their children, Jervis, Mamie and Rachel, all of Zephyrhills, Fla.

Mr. Jervis will be laid to rest in Zephyrhills.
