Wendy Lynn Northrup, 40, of Lafayette, died Friday, June 13, 2008, at her residence.

She was born July 11, 1967, in Lafayette, to John and Diana Hays Vahle of Brookston. She married Robert Northrup on April 30, 1994, in Brookston, and he survives.

Mrs. Northrup worked at Arnett Health System as a claims processor for five years, and Lafayette Life Insurance as a claims processor. She previously was a licensed realtor.

She enjoyed arts and crafts and loved being with her family and her "zoo."

Surviving with her husband and parents are one son, Brandon Wilcox of Lafayette; one daughter, Miranda Northrup, at home; one stepson, Justin Northrup of Lafayette; one stepdaughter Kayla Northrup of Attica; paternal grandmother, June Leap and paternal stepgrandfather, Arlyn Leap; and several aunts and uncles.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Earl E. and Marian J. Hays, and paternal grandfather, William Vahle and stepgrandmother, Pat Vahle.

Services were held Tuesday at Hippensteel Chapel, Lafayette. The Rev. Larry Kappes officiated. Interment was at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
