Virginia Lee Addy, 77, of Jamestown, died at 7:55 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2008, at her residence.

Born April 19, 1931, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Clifford and Helen Kopf Wise. She graduated from Monitor High School in 1949. Her marriage was on Oct. 11, 1952, to Ralph D. Addy, who died Sept. 24, 2004.

Mrs. Addy was formerly employed at Rockwood Manufacturing in Rossville. She moved to Jamestown four years ago.

She attended First Assembly of God in Delphi and enjoyed word search puzzles, puzzles, reading, gardening (canning), and fishing.

Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Hawkins (husband: Les) of Jamestown, Cathy La- Clair (husband: Randy) of Norfolk, N.Y., and Cheryl Halsema (husband: Randy) of Delphi; two sons, Leonard "Joe" Addy (wife: Mary) of Sidney, Ohio, and Ralph Addy (wife: Amber) of Rossville; 17 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville. Pastor Brent Oliver will officiate. Burial will be at Pyrmont Cemetery. Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
