Farmers should report flood damage immediately
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security announced through the office of local Emergency Management Agency Director Dave Mc- Dowell farmers affected by flooding and other natural disasters which occurred across the state in the last couple of weeks should report livestock, crop and/or equipment losses to the local USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) office as quickly as possible.
Gov. Mitch Daniels asked the USDA to request expedited assistance for farmers. Quick reporting by farmers will support the governor's request.
