An evening of Wine Tasting with Jeanette Merritt, Marketing & Public Relations Specialist for the Indiana Wine and Grape Council will be July 8 at 7 p.m. Learn about Indiana vineyards, food and wine pairings and sample a few of Indiana's best wines. Participants must be 21 to attend. Call the library for a reservation.
The 2008 Carroll County on the Same Page selection, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life," by Barbara Kingsolver, is available at the library. County residents are encouraged to participate in the county-wide reading program and practice Kingslover's message to grow, shop, and eat locally. Local programs, planned in the coming months, with brochures to highlight events, are available at Delphi, Flora and Camden libraries. A book discussion will be July 25 at 9 a.m. at Delphi.
Thirty- seven talented students in grades kindergarten through eight are in rehearsal for Stargazers Children's Theatre production of "Guys and Dolls Jr." Scheduled for July 25 and 26, the show will feature a two evenings of song, dance and comedy which will showcase some impressive local talent. Performances are at 7 p.m. both evenings. Admission is free.

The "Bee Movie" will buzz into the library this Friday, June 20, at 1 p.m. Jerry Seinfeld stars in this film as Barry B. Benson, a young bee disillusioned by his career choice. Come into the library to enjoy the movie matinee, refreshments, and air conditioning!
On Thursday, June 26, the library will explore the organic environmental movement with a presentation by Patty Leimer, "Green: Pure and Simple." Leimer has been living the "green" lifestyle, and will share simple ways to make big changes. If you want to limit the chemicals your family is exposed to on a daily basis, and improve your health naturally, this is a must-see program!
These programs are part of the library's ongoing summer reading club, "Catch the Reading Bug!" There is still plenty of time to participate in summer reading. It runs through July 25. Programming for "Catch the Reading Bug!" is provided by a generous donation by the Beta Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi.

Theme for next storytime is "bugs!" We're just going buggy here at the library catching the reading bug. Our guest storyteller this week will be Manda Sewell! Storytime is Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
Stories are available 24 hours a day at the library's Dial-AStory, 967-3814. Currently playing is "The Caterpillar's Surprise." Friday the story changes to "The Rat Princess."
