Gerald "Jerry" Cohn Robbins, 69, of Horn Lake, Tenn., died June 7, 2008, at his residence.

Born June 4, 1939, in Falkner, Miss., he was the son of John D. and Gladys Yates Robbins.

A graduate of Columbia School of Broadcasting, he was an award-winning journalist and broadcaster. He spent the first part of his career in television, radio and newspapers and later retired after nearly two decades in the floral industry. He was the late Elvis Pressley's personal florist.

Surviving are a daughter, Allison Robbins Meadows of Lafayette; three sisters; and a grandson, Blake Meadows of West Lafayette.

Services and entombment were held Tuesday in Memphis, Tenn.
