Raymond G. Ringer
Raymond George Ringer, 93, of Camden, died at 3:55 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. He had resided there since May 29.
Born May 24, 1915, in Carroll County, he was the son of Walter and Mary Layman Ringer. He graduated from Rockfield High School in 1933 and from Coyne Electrical Institute in Chicago, Ill.
On May 7, 1939, near Camden, he married Opal M. Mullin, who preceded him in death on March 21, 2001.
Mr. Ringer was a lifetime farmer in Carroll County.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Camden, and Masonic Lodge #211, F&AM, Camden.
He enjoyed listening to the radio, especially the Indianapolis Colts and Purdue and Indiana sports.
Surviving are a son, George Ringer (wife: Nancy) of Camden; a daughter, Sue A. Losure (husband: Jerry) of Marion; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Rufus G. Ringer, and brothers, Bob and Harold Ringer, and a granddaughter, Becky Losure Stuber.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden. Pastor Donna Glazier will officiate and burial will be at Camden Cemetery. Friends may call today, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
