Adams Twp. Alumni

The Adams Township Alumni Association held its annual school reunion banquet May 17 at the Beehive Gymnasium in Burnettsville, with 56 in attendance. Theme for the event was "Race Car Mania."

Association president Tom Temple provided a welcome and opening invocation. National Anthem and pledge to the flag were led by the Temple family. Bob Peterson led a devotional meditation based on Mark 16 in memory of members who died within the past year. Becky Hankins and Barb Roller then sang Precious Memories.

Those present from the honor class were: Maxine Hanna White, Class of 1933; Douglas Million and Wayne Landes, both Class of 1943; Doris Potts Rogers and John Ward, 1948; Mary Shaffer Brown, Dixie Coble Hanawalt, Tom Pritts and Maxine Gaby Weaver, 1953; and 55th anniversary eighth-grade graduates Leon McAninch and Bob Peterson. Each was given a red rose.

This year's officers are: Tom Temple, president; Ruth Coble Crawn, vice president; Doris Landes Davis, secretary/treasurer.

Jonah Peterson was honored for his life and community service with a tribute compiled by his daughter, Deb Shultz. He was presented a red rose and Adams School commemorative mug.
