St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Delphi will host The Rainforest Adventure Vacation Bible School from June 22-25.

On June 22 VBS will kickoff with "Family Adventure Day" at Riley Park. The day will start at 10:30 a.m. with Mass at St. Joseph's Church and the blessing to officially start VBS. Families will then journey to Riley Park for "Faith, Fellowship & Fun!"

The Knights of Columbus will host a cookout at 12 noon. Families are asked to bring a salad and dessert to share. Patrons are also asked to bring lawn chairs. Table service will be provided.

According to youth minister, Jennifer Leahy, "This day is about bringing families together through fellowship and fun."

There will be something for everyone. For youth ages pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, VBS will begin with Bible stories, games, science and crafts. Adults and teens can participate in a corn-hole tournament, music, volleyball, bingo, and croquet. In the afternoon, Columbian Park Zoo will present its rainforest animals.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Delphi at 207 North Washington Street.

June 23-25, VBS continues with 6-8:30 p.m. sessions at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with the addition of Adult Bible Study (grade 6 through adult are welcome.) Patrons may enjoy the Rainforest Café and special treats from the canopy.
