Minnie Lou Fivecoate, 78, of Cutler, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, at her residence following an extended illness.

Born Nov. 25, 1929, in Cutler, she was the daughter of Edward and Inez Wilson Kressley. She graduated in 1948 from Cutler High School, where she was a high school cheerleader.

On April 23, 1954, in Angola, she married Gerald W. Fivecoate, who survives.

Mrs. Fivecoate was a homemaker. She worked at Delco Electronics in Kokomo and at the former Flora Theater Café. She operated Wildcat Creek Ceramics in Cutler and along with her parents and husband picked and sold strawberries for many years.

She was a member of the Rockfield Christian Church.

In 1965 Mrs. Fivecoate started the Victory in Vietnam Club in Cutler.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Kimberly Roberts (husband: Jim) of Mablevale, Ark., and Traci Bookmiller (husband: Charlie) of Cutler; two sisters, Phyllis Smith of Flora and Delores Groninger (husband: Gordon) of Ohio; a brother, Lewis Kressley of Flora; two granddaughters, Brandi Maxwell (husband: Jeff) of Cutler and Krystal Wood (husband: Jeremy) of Mablevale, Ark.; a grandson, Brady Carter of Mablevale, Ark.; a step-granddaughter, Stephanie Anderson (husband: Wayne) of Miami, Ind.; and seven greatgrandchildren.

A sister, Helen Krathwohl, preceded her in death.

Graveside services were held Sunday at Ball Hill Cemetery, Cutler. Pastor Bob Cree officiated.
