Flora Senior Center offers daily activities

The Flora Senior Center is now under management by the Town of Flora and Mary Jo Redmon is the new site director.

Redmon has planned a full schedule of activities throughout June for local senior citizens.

The monthly presentation by Serenity Hospice will be on GERD and will start at 12:30 p.m. June 10.

Flora attorney Cindy Harmon will speak on legal concerns of senior citizens at 12:30 p.m. June 11.

Every Monday euchre and games will follow lunch at 12:30 p.m., while bingo will be played Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30. Fridays are Movie Days with showings starting at 10 a.m.

Reservations are required for the June 11 Wacky Wednesday movie showing of "P.S., I Love You."

A foot care clinic will be held at 9:30 a.m. June 12.

Flora library director Melissa Bishop will lead a book club that will meet June 18 from 10 to 11 a.m. At 5 p.m. June 18, the Supper Club will be going to the West Side Diner in Logansport. Reservations are required.

On June 25, Pastor Al Grumbling will lead Bible Study from 10 to 11 a.m.

All activities are held at the Center which is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
