The Delphi Community Schools Education Foundation presented three classroom grants for 2007-2008. The foundation was started in 2006 by a group of local volunteers, and is a not-for-profit organization created to directly benefit students in the Delphi Community Schools through grants provided to teachers to fund projects which expand and enrich the student experience. Pictured, left to right, are Matt Leahy, foundation vice president, Joyce Lawton and Kathi Johnson, library media specialists. Lawton and Johnson received grants for work with Battle of the Books in the junior and senior high schools. Not pictured is Theresa Traver who was cited for work with the triathlon. Photo provided
