Steven's Puppets will present the classic fairytale "Rumpelstiltskin" June 14. Parents need to stop into the library to reserve tickets for the free presentation.

Morning Book Club will discuss "The Floor of the Sky" by Pamela Carter on June 20. Nothing is more sacred in the Nebraska Sandhills than the bond of family and land. And nothing is more capable of causing deep wounds. This is a story of family, land, loyalty and an intimate glimpse into the lives of independent ranchers determined to survive. Coffee and social time are at 9 a.m. before the discussion.

Teens can retain reading skills over the summer and engage in great discussions by joining in the Teen Reading Club. "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer will be the featured selection at the first club meeting June 21. Pick up a copy of the book at the library.

The Vagaband comes to the library June 21 to perform at the June Coffee Beat. The fourmember string band begins at 7 p.m. with a great set of old-time traditional bluegrass and folk music. The coffee and music are free. Desserts are available for a small fee.

The ants are marching in to the library to sign up for the summer reading club, "Catch the Reading Bug!" Everyone can sign up and read together this summer and get "buggy" prizes. Summer reading is free and open to all residents of Carroll County. Programming is sponsored by Psi Iota Xi, Beta Alpha Chapter.

The free art classes begin next week. The preschool class, age 3-5, will meet after storytime on Tuesday mornings. The kindergarten through grade 3 class will meet Tuesday afternoons. Grades 4 through 8 will meet Thursday mornings.

High school through adult art classes will meet Thursday evenings. These classes require no experience but those with experience will still be challenged. Participants need to be signed up for summer reading before registering for the class.

"Bugs in a Bag" by the entomology department at Purdue University will swarm into the library next Friday. Based on the popular bug bowl and spring fest at Purdue, children of all ages will experience first hand the exciting world of bugs. "Bee" prepared for a great time! Bugs in a Bag will be June 13 at 2 p.m.

Theme for next storytime is "Gardens." It's that time of year to plant flowers and vegetables. We'll have fun stories about digging in the dirt! Storytime is Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

Stories are available 24 hours a day at the library's Dial-AStory. Currently playing is, "Nursery Rhymes". Friday the story changes to the classic "Henny Penny." Call Dial-a- Story at 967-3814.
