Deer Creek Presbyterian Church will host "Sundaes on Thursday," a come-as-you-are worship service and ice cream social. The event will be held Thursday evenings at 7:30 throughout June and July. There will be a short worship service followed by making and eating ice cream sundaes. Various toppings will be provided.

A BBQ for dads, lads and duds will be held in the old corral (fellowship hall) of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church at 6 p.m. June 28. The special male gathering will include a meal, inspiration and fellowship. Childcare will be provided if needed. Reservations are not required but appreciated for meal preparation purposes. Deer Creek Community Breakfast will have held Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. The fellowship hall is handicapped accessible. A free-will offering will be taken for the all-youcan eat breakfast. Carryout will be available.

Deer Creek Presbyterian Deacons will serve their annual Swine ' n Dine luncheon Sunday following the 10 a.m. worship service. The all-you-can-eat meal will be served from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Call 859-3671 or 859-2695 for prices.

The women of Faith Lutheran Church's WELCA will meet Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the church. Elizabeth Downham is the hostess for the day. Phyllis Rinehart will give the lesson. All women of the church are invited to attend.

Vacation Bible School is planned for Super Saturday, July 26, at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church for children in preschool through sixth grade. If interested in helping, contact one of the pastors of either church.

The Relay for Life Chicken Bash planned for June 11 has been canceled due to lack of ticket sales.

The Good Neighbor Gals went out to lunch recently to Delphi. Those attending were Betty Bell, Dot Fulton, Liz Mylet, Dottie Delaplane, Doris Jean Bryan and Mary Ellen Johnson.

Elizabeth Mylet was in Baltimore recently to attend graduation exercises at John Hopkins University where her granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Allen, received her degree with honors. Sarah is the daughter of Dick and Rosemary Allen of Boston.
