Grants go to projects in Camden, Yeoman

Two county projects are among the 33 approved to receive Community Focus Fund grants totaling $14,419,777 statewide.

The Town of Camden will receive $500,000 for improvements to its wastewater system. Carroll County will receive $340,000 to construct a new EMS/Community Center in Yeoman.

The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs administers the grants, which are funded through the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

This is the seventh round of CFF grants to be awarded since 2005.

Grants are awarded through a competitive application process. Applications providing eligible philanthropic matches receive extra points. Fifty-eight percent of the successfully funded projects had this match.
