Photo provided The Delphi Community High School Academic Super Bowl team competed several times throughout the year and qualified to compete in Science and Interdisciplinary at the State Finals at Purdue University on May 3. The top six schools from each division are chosen to compete, which placed DCHS near the top of the list of nearly 300 schools.

During last weekend's competition, the Interdisciplinary squad placed first in the state, making it champions of the division. The Science squad placed fourth overall.

"The teams have previously brought home state championships in 1997, 2000, and 2001," Super Bowl team leader Kirk Janowiak said. "As far as I know, along with poms winning in 2006, these are the only state championships for DCHS for any sport or other competition."
