Cutler H.S. Alumni Cutler High School Alumni Association's annual banquet and meeting were held at Carroll Elementary School, with 176 present. It has been 50 years since the last class graduated from Cutler.

Christopher McGrew, Devin Smith and Kelsie Thornburg, 2008 Carroll seniors from Democrat Township, were present to join the Association.

Those present who graduated in the 1930s were; Mary Catherine Bordner Carter, '30; Clayton Hutson and Phyllis Reef Cook, '35; Mary Pullen Overholser and Virginia Cook Smith, '36, and Lew Kressley. '39.

The 50-year Class of 1958 had 21 members, and ten were present: Evelyn Waters Wingard, Alma Webb Eller, Betty Clem Smith, Joyce Ann Overholser Bordner, Don Reef, Max Kelly, Larry Fellows, Jerry Myer, Mike Sheagley, and Jerry Fry. Two are deceased.

The 1948 class had three in attendance: Betty Oaks Eshelman, Arlene Rude Mikesell, and Rosemary Reef Dyer.

A letter was read from Leanne Cossairt, the 2007 recipient of the alumni scholarship.

The business meeting was called to order by the president, Gene McCarty. Financial reports were given, and new officers were elected as follows: Rod Squier, president; Mike Sheagley, vice president; and Mary Rose Ryan Reef, scholarship committee.

Other officers for 2009 are Barbara Draper, treasurer; Irma Cook, historian; Phyllis Mummert, secretary; Gary Miller and Dean Sheagley, scholarship committee.

Eight members and friends were reported deceased: Eva Douglas McCoy, Rosamay Wilson Shoemaker, Jane Cunningham Fisher, Hilma Unger Stickler, Bob Jack Cunningham, Frank Wertz, Evelyn Jervis, and Elmo Everett.

Rev. Lewis Ruman dismissed the meeting with prayer.

Anyone who has a group class picture is asked to contact an Association officer so it can be put on a disk.
