Last weekend three members of the Delphi wrestling team competed in the Indiana State Wrestling Association's Freestyle State Meet. Braden Atwood, wrestling at cadet 171, won his 19th state title by winning all six of his matches. Not all of his titles have been freestyle. More ... This Friday¸ Delphi boys and girls track teams will compete in the Hoosier Conference championships and then will finish the year with Sectional competition next week. The girls will participate on Tuesday and the boys will run on Thursday. Both Sectional meets will be held at Lafayette Jefferson. More ... Entering another tough stretch of their schedule this week, the Delphi Lady Oracle girls' softball team took care of business at hand, winning four of five games to improve its overall record to 15-5. More ... The second annual "YMCA Relive Your Youth Track and Field Event" will be held May 17 at 9 a.m. at the Carroll High School athletic field. There will be two age groups for men and two age groups for women: 20 through 35, and 36 and up. Participants don't have to be a member of the YMCA. More ... Haley Richardson, playing number one singles for Delphi this year, returns service in her semi-final match at Saturday's Delphi Invitational tennis tournament. The host Oracles took fifth place out of seven teams. More ... 14U Eclipse wins tournament Two Carroll County girls, Caitlin Schock and Hannah Marvin, are members of the 14U Monticello Eclipse which once again overwhelmed opponents with a 7-0 record at the Kankakee Early Bird "B" Tournament. In the two days the team tallied a total of 58 runs, while only relinquishing 10, with a team on base percentage of .526. More ...
