Lady Oracles earning respect
      The Delphi Lady Oracle girls' softball team improved its record to 11-4 with a dominating 19-0 victory over Rossville Monday night in Delphi. The Oracles also cracked the state's Class 2A top 15 rankings for the first time this season earning a spot as the #14-ranked team in their class after two wins over West Lafayette and a pair of losses to Twin Lakes last week.

      The Every 15 Minutes program is held every three years at the two local high schools. The names and faces of the student participants are different, but the message is the same: Every 15 minutes someone is killed by a drunk driver.

Softball field named for Ennis
      Gail Ennis had quite a surprise after the Flora Little League and Girls Softball parade on Saturday. As president of the Girls Softball League, he had called a meeting of the parents to enlist their help in the concession stand.

Local girls on winning traveling softball team
      Two 5th grade students from Carroll Elementary, Courtney Atkisson and Carly Kingery, are members of the Indiana Magic 10U Fast Pitch Travel Softball Team. On April 19 and 20 their team competed in the 5th Annual Xtreme Earlie Birdie Tournament in Kankakee, Ill., where they won the championship.
