Delphi boys and girls track go 2 and 1
Delphi Community High School track teams will host Clinton Central on Wednesday and compete in the Twin Lakes Invitational on Friday.
Last week the boys and girls track teams defeated Frontier and Rossville. Boys scores were: Delphi 79, Frontier 61, and Rossville 16. The girls scores were: Delphi 88, Rossville 41 and Frontier 26.
Individual winners for DCHS were: Mara Burton, 100 hurdles and long jump; Kari Lake, 400 and 800m; Hannah Evans, 1600m; Arielle Brosman, 3200m; Kylee German, discus; Olivia George, high jump; A.J. Erskin, 110 and 300 hurdles; Jonathan Hufford, 100, 200, and 400m; J.D. Huffer, 800m; and Kris Bender, 1600 and 3200m.
Winning relay events were: girls 3200 meter relay team of Brosman, Evans, Grace Currie, and Lake; girls 400 meter relay team of George, Burton, Alisha Myers, and Chelsey Marcotte; girls 1600 meter relay team of Marcotte, George, Denise Kendall, and Lake; and the boys 3200 meter relay team of Zach Schnepp, Bender, Huffer, and Ryan Everett.
Last Wednesday both teams fell at Lewis Cass. The girls lost 57 to 66 and the boys lost 48 to 84. Individual winners were: Burton, 100 and 300 hurdles; George, 100m; Currie, 800m; Hufford, long jump, 100, 200, and 400m; and Huffer, 800m.
The winning relay teams were: girls 3200 meter relay of Lake, Brosman, Currie, and Evans; girls 1600 meter relay of George, Marcotte, Kendall, and Lake; and the boys 3200 meter relay of Schnepp, Bender, Everett, and Huffer.
