Mr. and Mrs. Robert Deel of Rockfield will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rockfield Community Center. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the event, hosted by their children.

Mr. Deel and the former Grace Downham were married March 20, 1948, at the home of her parents in Lafayette. He worked for Standard Oil before retiring in 1982. She is a homemaker.

The couple has three children, Larry Deel of Monticello, Barbara Heath (husband: Brad) of Delphi, and George Deel (wife: Donna) of Lebanon. They have six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
