Wabash & Erie Canal Earth Day will be April 19, beginning at 9 a.m. at Canal Park in Delphi. Assignments will be given from there.

Volunteers are needed for general clean-up work and tree planting. They should dress in work clothes, wear sturdy shoes, and bring gloves and appropriate tools.

The two major work sites will be the area at the foot of the Carrollton Bridge and around the Blue Bridge along the canal towpath near Pizza Hut. Brian Stirm will be at Canal Park with the trolley to transport workers to those sites.

Lunch will be served to all working volunteers.
