Maxine Henderson
Maxine Henderson, 89, of Delphi, died at 8:03 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008, at Milner Comm unity Health Care Center, Rossville.
Born Oct. 21, 1918, in Camden, she was the daughter of James Robert and Lora Eller Hodges. She graduated from Camden High School in 1936. In 1937 in Delphi, she married Marvin "Bus" Henderson, who preceded her in death in 1982.
Mrs. Henderson was employed as a secretary for Todd Oliver, Delphi, for many years. She then worked in home care with the elderly.
She was a member of the Delphi Christian Church, the church's women's fellowship, and the WCTU.
Surviving are a son, Dan Henderson (wife: Cathy) of Delphi; a brother, Wilmer "Stub" Hodges of Camden; two granddaughters, Stephanie Kirk (husband: Gary) of Monticello and Melissa Craddock (husband: Rick) of Atlanta, Ga.; one grandson, Michael Henderson (wife: Ellie) of Portland, Oregon; five greatgrandchildren, Lauren Porter, Ella Craddock, Claire Craddock, Sam Henderson, and Max Henderson.
Preceding her in death were a son, David Henderson; two brothers, Floyd Hodges and Leonard "Scotty" Hodges; and a sister, Opal Lones.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. May 4 at the Delphi Christian Church. Pastor Andy Paris will officiate.
