Mary L. Felix
Mary L. Felix, 84, of Delphi, passed away March 13, 2008, at 8 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. She resided on North 9th St. in Delphi until she moved to the healthcare center on June 5, 2006.
She was born July 5, 1923, in Carroll County, to Thurston D. and Minnie Widner Downham. She married Joseph C. Felix on Jan. 20, 1940, in Delphi. He preceded her in death March 26, 1999.
Mrs. Felix worked with her daughter at Radio Shack and Video Express in Flora before she retired. She attended Delphi schools.
She was a member of Delphi Christian Church and a member of the church's Christian Women's Fellowship. She was a Bible School teacher for many years and was also a Cub Scout leader.
Mrs. Felix enjoyed crafts, knitting, gardening and fishing.
Surviving are: her daughter, Joyce Kenworthy (husband: Bob) of Delphi; two sons, Larry J. Felix (wife: Mitzi) of Greenfield and George W. Felix of Kershaw, S.C.; two sisters, Sue Sanders of Lafayette and Mildred Messick of Winter Haven, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.
Mrs. Felix was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
Services were March 16 at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi, and were officiated by Pastor Andy Paris. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg.
