Northfield dashes Carroll's regional hopes

      Northfield's patience and Carroll's early game jitters were too much for the Cougars to overcome in Friday's Tipton Regional. They dug themselves an early hole and the Norsemen took advantage, winning the Class 2A game 59-47.

      Carroll 7th ends season Carroll's 7th grade Lady Cougars split their final two games of the season, finishing with 8 wins and 7 losses. Last Wednesday they defeated Lewis Cass 31-20. They were led by Madison Welch with 12 points. Kaitlin Ragan added 11 more.

      Comets are runners-up Carroll County Lady Comets finished the season with a 9-win, 3-loss record and placing as runner-up team in Division 3 at the state tournament held at DePauw University.
