Kauffman files for Carroll School board
Rob Kauffman has filed to run as a candidate for Carroll School Board for Monroe Township.
Kauffman Kauffman is a graduate of Delphi Community High School and Purdue University. He is a mechanical engineer at Wabash National Corporation where he runs the Aftermarket Parts business.
"During my nine years at Wabash National I have had different job titles with increasing responsibility and I have taken courses that have helped me become a capable leader," said Kauffman.
He and the former Elizabeth Lucas have been married for 10 years. They have two daughters, Madison, age 7 and Abigail, age 6, both students at Carroll Elementary School.
The Kauffmans are members of the Flora United Methodist Church, where he is chairman of the Board of Trustees, is a member of the Adult Choir, and serves as a youth leader.
Kauffman is serving in his tenth year as an assistant coach of the Carroll High School track team. For the past six years he has been the announcer for the CHS varsity home football games.
Kauffman said his family enjoys attending many of the other school events as well.
"I have gained great respect for the youth and adults, both in and around our community and our school corporation," said Kauffman. "I am comfortable around people and willing to listen to their comments and concerns. As an outgoing individual and working professional, I also have no problem sharing my own thoughts.
"I have a wonderful family and I want the best for them. I would be honored to have an impact on what my daughters and their friends will experience and learn during their school years.
"I believe that I would be a great addition to the Carroll School Board. I am someone that you can count on."
