      Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School band members participated in the Indiana State School Music Association's (ISSMA) Solo and Ensemble contest on Feb. 2. The contest was held at Harrison High School in Lafayette.

      Carroll students performed in the Indiana State Vocal/Piano Solo and Ensemble competition Feb. 16 at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis. They earned the following gold, silver, and bronze ratings: Gold - Soloists Seth Pencek, Nick Jones, and Emma Packard.

      KYLIE WAGONER of Bringhurst recently served as a page for State Senator Brandt Hershman. She spent the day at the State House assisting Senate staff members with a variety of legislative duties and learning awbout the structure of Indiana's government. A seventh grader at Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School, she is the daughter of Scott and Michelle Wagoner.
