The Oracle wrestling team received another honor last weekend. Senior Shane Evans, who wrestled at 171 for the Oracles all year, was selected to the First Team Academic All-State Wrestling Team.

Evans His season record was 30-14 and his overall career record, 91-39. He has maintained through his high school career a grade point average of 4.5 on a 4-point scale due to the weighted classes he has taken.

Evans was accompanied to the IHSWCA wrestling banquet to receive his award by his parents, Shawn and Shannon Evans, his sister Hannah, and coaches Mike Atwood and Craig Shaw.

Monday evening the team was honored for its accomplishments with a meal prepared by Pat Duff and the Conner family.
