Burton sets two school records
      Andrew Burton on Saturday at the Hoosier Conference swim meet set two Delphi Community High School records. Burton was second in the 50 freestyle by 1/100 of a second in a school record time of 22.66.

Oracle wrestlers look to sectional
Alderman ties school record
      The DCHS wrestling team ended its dual season last week by defeating Lewis Cass 64-6. The Oracles ended regular season 22-9 heading into the sectionals at Lafayette Jeff on Saturday. Eight of the nine losses were to ranked teams and all but two were by less than a ten-point deficit.

      Carroll and Delphi wrestling teams will compete Saturday in the Lafayette Jefferson Sectional. Other teams competing include: Attica, Benton Central, Harrison, Lafayette Central Catholic, McCutcheon, Seeger, and West Lafayette.

JV wins White County Tourney
      Playing at home for the second straight weekend, Coach Brian Tonsoni's Delphi team took care of business early during its 58-44 victory over Sheridan Friday, before stumbling to a tough Cass team on Saturday 46-33.

      Carroll's varsity wrestling team placed fifth in the Hoosier Heartland Conference Meet held Saturday at Clinton Central. Andrew Hughes was Carroll's only conference champ.

Cougars stage late come-back, win in OT
      The Cougars (5-7) found themselves in a pair of road barnburners over the weekend. They defeated Tri Central (0- 13) Friday night in a Hoosier Heartland Conference matchup, 52-49, and then lost to Pioneer (3-10) in overtime, 54-51, on Saturday.

Poor shooting muffles Oracle Senior Night
      On Senior Night the Lady Oracles looked like they might end their five-game losing streak, but poor shooting from the field and from the free throw line put a damper on an otherwise festive night when Rossville came visiting and went home with a 50-40 win.

Lady Trojans outlast Cougars
      The Carroll Lady Cougars lost their fourth-consecutive game Saturday afternoon, dropping a 54-46 decision to Hoosier Heartland Conference rival Tri-Central. The victory gave the 12-6 Lady Trojans the Hoosier Heartland Conference title. Tri- Central made a clean sweep of the conference with a perfect 5- 0 record. Carroll dropped to 6- 9 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
