Dr. Huse joins staff of American Baptist Foundation
The Rev. Dr. Joseph D. Huse was recently invited to join the staff of the American Baptist Foundation as the Mid-West representative.
The American Baptist Foundation is the denomination's center through which planned gifts that result from estate planning are generated. These charitable gifts support American Baptist ministry and mission nationwide and around the world.
As the Mid-West representative, Dr. Huse will work with American Baptist churches and the members of their congregations to encourage them to join the Foundation by making planned gifts, conduct estate planning giving seminars for congregations, and provide direction and assistance to individuals and their advisors in their charitable giving. The geographic area includes Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
Prior to accepting the position, Dr. Huse served the past two and one-half years as the Minister of Mission Resource Development for the American Baptist Churches of Greater Indianapolis. In that role, he assisted churches to develop year-round stewardship emphases, raised money for mission causes, coordinated mission projects for the region and led several work groups in hurricane relief on the Gulf Coast.
