What month is it?
Jefferson Township resident Larry Johns was walking through his yard to a shed week before last when he happened to look at the ground near his satellite dish and discovered two morel mushrooms growing in the dirt! The surprised Johns immediately yanked the fungi up from the ground and took them into the house to show his wife, who stored them in the refrigerator until the couple could decide what to do with them. It was later learned the mushrooms were 'false morels' and not useful for anything but an interesting photo!
