Winter Sports Summaries The young Cougars had three games at home last week, winning all three. On Monday they won a comeback victory over visiting Clinton Central. Carroll trailed by 16 entering the fourth quarter and outscored the Bulldogs 22 to 5 to escape with a 48-42 victory. The Cougars were led in points by Cole Sellers with 14 Noah Allen 11 and Jarvis Simmons, Mitch Witham, and Jonathan Bush all with 8. On Tuesday Rossville came to town. The Cougars stayed on the winning track with a 52-31 victory. The Cougars were led in points by Seth Johnson and Allen with 14 and 13, respectively. Sellers and Johnson added 5 rebounds apiece with Allen and Simmons contributing 7 and 4 steals. On Wednesday, the Cougars defeated Tri Central 38-14. Carroll was led by Witham with 8, Sellers 7 and Allen 6. Johnson and Jordon Tooley had 5 rebounds apiece with Simmons and Tooley leading in steals with 5 and 3. The Cougars are 5-0 with no games scheduled until mid-January, |
