John H. Hayes

John Henry Hayes, 64, o f Bringhurst, died at 4:47 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been a patient there for four days.

Born Nov. 3, 1943, in Monroe Township, Carroll County, he was the son of Elmer H. and Marie Eller Hayes. He and his wife, Ruby L. Hayes, were married on June 21, 2007, and she survives.

Mr. Hayes worked as an attendant at Ayres Oil Company in Flora for 27 years.

He was a member of the Bringhurst United Methodist Church.

A 1960 graduate of Flora High School, he enjoyed camping.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Mark A. Hayes (wife: Pamela) of Flora; three brothers, Joseph G. Hayes (wife: Susan) of Logansport, Jeffrey M. Hayes (wife: Sandy) and Jack L. Hayes (wife: Mary), all of Flora; and three grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily- Anne, and Samuel Flora.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, at Baker Funeral Home, Flora. Pastor Larry DeVos will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
