Loren R. Oakley

Loren R. Oakley, 87, of Burlington, passed away Dec. 9, 2007.

He was born Jan. 26, 1920, to the late Bert and Faye Delon Oakley in Howard County. He married Donnabelle Tenbrook on Nov. 2, 1940, and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Oakley retired from General Motors in 1984. He had been a farmer for a number of years as well as working in sales with TK Homes.

He was a member of the Logansport Elks #66, Burlington F&AM Lodge #111 and a longtime member of Oakland Christian Church.

Surviving are his children, Ben Oakley (wife: Peggy) of Russiaville, Bob Oakley (wife: Janelle) of Burlington and Donna Engle of Burlington; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beulah Butts of Burlington.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.

No services will be held.
