Thomas P. Lantz Thomas Paul Lantz, 79, of Deer Creek, died at 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2007, at his residence. Born April 4, 1928, in Carroll County, he was the son of Fred and Maggie Cohee Lantz. He graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1945. On July 1, 1950, in Burlington, he married Wilma Jo Clawson, who survives. Mr. Lantz was head of maintenance at General Tire in Logansport. He retired in 1987. He was a member of the former Deer Creek Lutheran Church. He built model airplanes and clocks and enjoyed taking home movies. Surviving with his wife are a son, Terrence Lantz of Deer Creek; two daughters, Cathy Marie Lantz and Peggy Young, both of Deer Creek; a brother, Jerry Lantz of Logansport; a sister, Mary Hyman of Galveston; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden. The Rev. Ron Elly will officiate. Burial will be at Center EUB Cemetery, Galveston. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. |
